Project Tech Demo v0.0.1


Wanted to release a quick tech demo of my soon to be game. Please keep in mind that this is just a demonstration of features in the game and many things will for sure change. I appreciate all the feedback you can give me :)

Currently Implemented (and under improvement):

  • Inventory System: Fully functional, but will undergo UI and UX refinements.
  • Crafting System: Core crafting loop is in place, with further balancing planned.
  • World Tiles: Basic world generation is set up; I’ll continue refining tile variety and visual fidelity.
  • Building System: Construction works end-to-end, though building interactions and options will grow more intuitive over time.
  • Drop System: Enemies and objects drop loot correctly, but I’m exploring ways to make this feel more rewarding.
  • Gathering System: Resource nodes are harvestable, though I’ll be adjusting spawn rates, yields and animations.
  • Level Upgrades: The foundations of progression exist, awaiting fine-tuning.
  • Multiple Enemy Types: A variety of foes roam the world, but their AI and behaviors will be improved.

I’m holding back on excessive detail for now, to keep the exploration and discovery fresh once you jump into the game.

Planned Additions Before Initial Alpha Release:

  • Art Design: Enhanced visuals for enemies, UI, buildings, and more.
  • Sound Design: Ambient tracks, sound effects, and music to bring the world to life.
  • Progression System Setup: Creating a clearer sense of growth and rewards.
  • Story/Lore Development: Laying down the narrative groundwork to shape the game’s universe.
  • Tutorial Implementation: Introducing a guided learning curve so you can jump in smoothly.
  • Tech Tree Introduction: Providing deeper strategic choices for players as they advance.
  • "The Other Side": A mysterious element to be unveiled that expands the scope of the game.
